Marine fish drink a lot of water to overcome loss of water from their bodies by osmosis (water naturally pases from where it is at high concentration in the fish across its membranes into the salary water where it is at lower concentration).

Simple & accurate way to know the speed of any boat:
A piece of wood is thrown overboard at the bow, and the time is taken with a stop watch. When it reaches the stern the time is taken again. Suppose the length of the boat is feet and the time taken is seconds, then the speed of the boat in konts = 6 x /10 x.
The calculation is a very simple one, and although the method may seem crude it works very well in practice, even in small boats.
