Indonesia, Italy, Cuba, South Africa,
Spain, India, Bulgaria, Greece, Azerbaijan,
Georgia, Libya, Romania, Germany,
Russian, Ukraine, Syria, Tunisia,
Malaysia etc. are participating in
EMITT 2005 EXHIBITION this year. According
to the Turkish statistics on outgoing
travel market in Turkey:
There
is a population of 12 million in Turkey
with the same income level as the
European countries. 3.4 million people
have an average income of US$ 22.345
and more, 3.5 million have an average
income of US$ 7250 and more, 3.5 million
have an average income between US$
5500-7500. By examining these statistics,
we can see that there is a population
in Turkey that has an average income
of more than 15,000 USD, like the
total population of Belgium. Egyptian
Ministry of Tourism, Red Sea Association
& Travel Agents realize this opportunity
as a potential market and participated
in the EMITT 2005 by way of the following:

and The Red Sea Association.
Al Tayyar Group.

Chamber of Tourism Establishments
& The Red Sea Association represented
by:
Mr. Mahmoud El-Marzouki, Vice Chairman
of Red Sea Association.
Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim Habib, Board Director
& Environment Committee Co-ordinator
of Red Sea Association.
The
Red Sea Association provided the funds
for the promotional materials; post
cards, brochures, giant banners, cookies,
candy and the H2O magazine were used
as our tourism promotional tools.
During the exhibition more than 300
kg of the above material and 2000
copies of the magazine were distributed
during the 4 day exhibition.
From the discussions with the visitors
at the show, the representatives discovered
that Turkish tourists prefer cultural
tours and city tours. Most of the
Turkish tourists who travel abroad
participate in cultural and shopping
based tours, most of them prefer the
favorite ski centers of Europe. Turkish
tourists spend more than the average
Europeans on their travels. They send
an average of 1000 USD per week. However,
many travel agents are willing to
send more tourists and divers to the
Red Sea.
