I don't know much about sidemount diving but it looks like something I would be interested in as it looks to be less hassle than twins.

When twinning I use manifolded 12s with a wing. I use 1 cylinder for my wing inflation and the other for my drysuit do I have a back-up buoyancy plan.

Is this the same with the sidemount arrangement?

Also with my twins I have an octopus on each cylinder - I know this is overkill and not necessarily required but I feel more comfortable this way. How does this set up work with the sidemounts?

Last but not least, can anyone suggest a good rig for carrying sidemounts or do I have to rig something home-made?

Thanks.
