Keep seeing references to solo diving and note that at least 2 organisations now offer training in this and a certification. If I arrive in the Red Sea to Sharm or Hurghada with this certification does anyone know of a dive centre that will actually let me dive alone or will they all insist I dive with a buddy? I would, of course, make sure I have all the necessary back-up equipment with me for solo diving. Thanx.

I heard there's a place in Safaga that will let you do the solo diving thing but everywhere else seems to insist you have a buddy or dive in a group with the DM. They all say it's something to do with their insurance and safe diving practices. Hope this helps.
