At the Chamber of Diving and Water Sports (CDWS) annual conference held in Sharm El-Sheikh on the 5^th December, the current board of directors has honored 3 of the ex-board members, 6 of the official Governmental personnel, 3 members of related NGOs and five trainees of programs organized by the chamber.

All the honored persons had a considerable impact on the establishment of the Chamber or on the advancement of Diving tourism or safety in Egypt. Both his Excellency, the minister of Tourism and his Excellency, the Governor of south Sinai attended the conference to share in honoring of the persons mentioned above. It has been suggested that the next CDWS conference be held in Hurghada in December 2010.
