Hotel in quest for sustainable tourism

For years, the management of the prestigious Movenpick Hotel in El Gouna has taken up the quest for sustainable tourism and environmental protection by reducing energy and water consumption, separating and reducing waste, and having an environmentally friendly purchasing policy. Their efforts have been recognized by several awards including the prestigious “Green Globe Gold” and “Travelife Gold”. This has been achieved by the Resort’s Green Team, who organized special activities for guests during Earth Week in April 2009 and continue to invite guests to join them in regular Green Day events. A spokesperson for the Green Team told us, “This is just the beginning. Every single contribution is a step further to a ‘Greener Earth’ for us and the generations to come”.
