Leading Red Sea dive operator Orca Dive Clubs is to expand its operations to the upcoming dive travel destination of Cape Verde. Orca opens their latest Dive Club on Sal this September, one of ten islands that form the tropical archipelago of Cape Verde, which lies in the Atlantic Ocean 460km off the west coast of Africa.Cape Verde is becoming increasingly popular for travelers looking for an adventurous holiday in a new destination that, like Egypt, is a true melting pot of cultures. The islands offer a tantalizing combination of African Senegalese and Brazilian life, fine white sand beaches, and dramatically beautiful scenery ranging from volcanic mountains, to verdant greenery, and endless sand dunes.
The diving in Cape Verde is similarly varied, and comprises historical shipwrecks, spectacular cave systems and plentiful reefs, with marine life including turtles, manta rays, sharks and whale sharks. Cape Verde is virgin diving; the majority of diving here is undertaken by zodiac, and there are also trips to explore untouched reefs and discover wrecks in the wider archipelago.
The new Orca Dive Club in Cape Verde will be located directly on one of the finest sandy beaches at the edge of the Santa Maria, on the island of Sal. The Orca Dive Club is based at the comfortable Hotel Sab Sab, which is a pleasant ten minute walk from the centre of Santa Maria.
Orca Dive Clubs is very excited to be one of the first leading foreign diving operators to establish an international diving centre in Cape Verde.
Orca Dive Clubs currently operate seven dive centres in the Red Sea and will also be opening in Mauritius at the end of this year.
